Chloe Fetherston

Chloe applied for the Trustpower Graduate Programme after completing a Bachelor of Management Studies (Hons) – Majoring in Economics and Finance at the University of Waikato. After completing the programme, Chloe was successfully appointed to the role of Reconciliation Analyst where she’s responsible for analysing wholesale supply charges to ensure they are correctly invoiced and optimised for the customers’ requirements.

Chloe says that it’s been a great experience at Trustpower, “I have really enjoyed the opportunities for further training and development. I have been able to take various courses including SQL training, a public speaking course, and the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards.”

When asked what she would say to people who are considering applying for the Trustpower Graduate Programme, Chloe says, “This programme is great for anyone wanting to start a career in the industry.”

Danny Tsai

Trustpower’s position as both an energy and telecommunications provider makes it unique amongst New Zealand companies and opens up a lot of learning opportunities.

Danny Tsai, Market Analytics Specialist - Trustpower

Danny Tsai

Danny graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons), specialising in Engineering Science. When he completed the graduate programme, Danny was successfully appointed to the position of Market Analytics Specialist where his daily mandate is to “push the limits of what we can do with data”. Sounds pretty cool doesn’t it!!

Danny was attracted to the Graduate Programme because “Trustpower is a relatively small company compared to the other energy and telecommunications companies so it’s really easy to collaborate with people in other departments and get known around the business.”

For his first rotation in the Retail Markets team Danny explains that, “My responsibilities include providing financial analysis to support Trustpower’s retail propositions, and to enrich our database from different sources to ensure we have greater understanding of our existing and prospective customers. I enjoy the amount of responsibility I’ve been given as a graduate. I can see exactly how my work affects the operation of the business, which is very motivating. “

When asked what he would say to people who are considering applying for our Graduate Programme, Danny says that he would highly recommend it. “Trustpower’s position as both an energy and telecommunications provider makes it unique amongst New Zealand companies and opens up a lot of learning opportunities.”

“My time here so far has been great – I’ve been given plenty of opportunity to push my boundaries and collaborate with others. Everyone has been very friendly and happy to help.”
