Chief Executive
Our Chief Executive Vince joined Trustpower in 2010. Originally from the UK where he worked for British Coal, Vince moved to New Zealand with his family in 1993. Vince was Production Manager at Huntly Power Station before roles as General Manager Generation and General Manager Retail with Genesis Energy. Prior to joining Trustpower Vince was appointed CEO for Hydro Tasmania in 2006.
Vince studied mining engineering at Trent Polytechnic in Nottingham, UK and has an MBA from Waikato University. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia and a member of the Institute of Directors.

Craig Neustroski BE (Elect), Dip. Bus, MInstD
GENERAL MANAGER MARKETS
Craig leads Trustpower’s sales and marketing teams responsible for procurement & product management, pricing, marketing, customer analytics and competitive strategy. Craig has extensive energy executive experience and has previously held the roles of National Sales Manager and General Manager Trading at Trustpower. Craig has a Degree in Electrical Engineering from Canterbury and a Diploma in Business and he is a member of the NZ Institute of Directors.
Peter Calderwood BE (HONS), ME, MIPENZ
GENERAL MANAGER STRATEGY AND GROWTH
Peter joined Trustpower’s predecessor, the Tauranga Electric Power Board in 1987 and has held senior management roles within Trustpower since 1988. In his present role he is responsible for company strategy development and regulatory affairs. Peter also is responsible for Trustpower’s growing Australian business. Peter is a registered engineer (Auckland University, First Class Honours) with a Master of Engineering. He’s a member of the Institute of Professional Engineers of New Zealand.
Simon Clarke BA/LLB CMInstD
GENERAL MANAGER BUSINESS SOLUTIONS AND TECHNOLOGY
Simon joined Trustpower in September 2011. He has held a number of senior executive roles in the energy, technology and legal sectors and was previously CEO of advanced metering service provider, Arc Innovations. Simon has degrees in law and politics from the University of Otago and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Programme at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He is a Chartered Member of the NZ Institute of Directors and previously sat on the ministerial appointed NZ Smart Grid Forum. Locally, Simon sits on the boards of Priority One (WBOP Economic Development Agency), the Tauranga Art Gallery Trust and the Bay of Plenty Community Trust (BayTrust). In 2010, Simon won the Deloitte Energy Excellence Awards Young Energy Executive of the year. He has a particular interest in governance, renewable energy, transformational change, and emerging customer facing technologies. Simon leads Trustpower's technology & ISP operational platform teams and the business solutions & project delivery/PMO teams.
Melanie Dyer BA (Psyc Major), Grad Dip HRM, GAICD
GENERAL MANAGER PEOPLE AND CULTURE
In 2014, Mel joined Trustpower as the General Manager, People and Culture. Melanie has Undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Tasmania, a Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from Deakin University and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Prior to joining Trustpower, Mel was at Hydro Tasmania for 11 years where she held various roles including People and Performance Manager, Manager Health Safety and Quality in the Corporate area, and Managing Consultant and HR Manager in Hydro Tasmania’s Consulting Business. Mel has a particular interest in Organisational Design and Business Transformation.
Fiona Smith
General Manager Customer Operations
Fiona joined Trustpower in 1996. Holding a number of senior roles at Trustpower, her career has focused on leading and implementing change that supports our multi utility proposition and values our customer’s experience. In her present role, Fiona is responsible for the Customer Operations business; this encompasses almost all customer touch points and includes meter reading, provisioning, billing, collections and our Contact Centre. Excited by the prospect of leading change across the constant emergence of new technology Fiona is focused on leveraging data, technology and good old-fashioned service to ensure her teams meet the changing needs of our customers. Fiona is a member of the NZ Institute of Directors, has spent two years on the board of the local Chamber of Commerce and sits on a number of external working parties within both the Telco and Electricity Industries.
Stephen Fraser BE Chem. Eng. (HONS), MBA, MBus. Law
GENERAL MANAGER GENERATION
Stephen has recently joined Trustpower, coming from Shell International in various international locations where he held commercial management roles in their upstream business, contracting & procurement manager in the downstream business, involved in a number of major greenfield capital projects. Had previously worked in New Zealand as Service Delivery Manager (electricity networks) for a New Zealand lines company. In his present role he is responsible for the Generation business. Stephen holds qualifications in Chemical & Process Engineering (Canterbury University, Honors); Master of Business Administration (University of Western Australia); and a Master of Business Law (Sydney University Law School).
Kevin Palmer BMS, PGCert(Mgt), CA
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Kevin started at Trustpower in 2007 after previous experience as Chief Financial Officer in an electricity lines distribution company. Kevin is responsible for overseeing the finance and company secretary functions. In these roles he is responsible for providing strategic financial support to the Company and managing the operations of the capital raising, investor relations, finance function that includes over $750 million of debt funding facilities, financial reporting and financial transaction processing. Kevin is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and has a total of over 20 years of experience in the electricity industry.
