Am I eligible for a TECT rebate?
How the TECT rebate is distributed
If you’re eligible, you can choose one of the following payment options for your TECT rebate:
  • Direct payment into a nominated bank account
  • A credit to your Mercury account*
  • A charitable gift to the Acorn Foundation Vital Impact Fund
Once a selection has been made, that payment option will continue for all future rebates. You do not need to select a payment option again for future payments unless you wish to change. If you selected the credit to Mercury account payment option or you did not select a payment preference before the cut-off date, your TECT rebate will automatically be credited to your Mercury account. 
 
*If you close your electricity account while any rebate payments (or part of any rebate payments) remain as credit on your account, and if Mercury is unable to contact you about the credit, that credit will be returned to TECT 12 months after the date the credit was applied to your account.

Manage your TECT rebate via My Account

You can manage your TECT rebate hassle-free through My Account! With My Account, you can easily:

  • View your current TECT rebate preference.
  • Access your rebate preference history.
  • Update your selected rebate payment method.
Simply follow the steps below:
  1. Log in to your My Account here.
  2. Head to the Billing screen by selecting BILLING from the left-hand side menu.
  3. If you qualify for TECT, you'll find TECT REBATE listed in the ribbon menu. Click on TECT REBATE.
  4. View your current rebate preferences and history here. If you wish to make changes, simply click on Edit preferences.
