We are an electricity retailer and generator and own and operate 36 small to medium size Hydro Generating Stations and a large Wind Farm, with a further Wind Farm recently completed in South Australia. We provide power to over 220,000 customers. We pride ourselves on producing electricity exclusively from renewable sources. Utilising renewable sources to produce energy is the important difference of Our Company. We actively assess potential wind and hydro generation opportunities in New Zealand and Australia. With assets of over $2 Billion, TrustPower is New Zealand owned and listed on the New Zealand Stock Exchange.
TrustPower has over 400 employees distributed across New Zealand with a small representation in Australia. The majority of our people are based in the beautiful Bay of Plenty at the company's Head Office in Mount Maunganui located within a kilometre of the beach. Head Office includes Corporate Services, Energy Sales (which incorporates Customer Services and our Call Centre), Energy Purchasing and Generation Management.
At TrustPower we pride ourselves on our Community Involvement. A few of the many Community projects and events that we sponsor are: the Tauranga-based Rescue Helicopter, Community Awards and Elgregoe's Kids Magical Show which communicates important values and anti-bullying messages to our kids.
