TrustPower Nelson Tasman Community Awards

Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE) has won the Supreme Award at the TrustPower Nelson Tasman Community Awards, presented on Monday 5 July at the Rutherford Hotel.

There were 116 voluntary groups and organisations nominated for the Awards.

Jemma Wastney from Nelson College for Girls won the TrustPower Youth Community Spirit Award for her selfless voluntary work for the community, including working for the Nelson Ark programme, Students Against Drunk Driving and SAVE.

TrustPower Western Bay of Plenty Community Awards

The Legion of Frontiersmen J. Troop has won the Supreme Award at the TrustPower Western Bay of Plenty Community Awards, for their work restoring the Katikati cemetery.

There were 39 voluntary groups and organisations nominated for the Awards, which were announced and presented on Monday 28 June.

Kayla Jones from Te Puke High School won the TrustPower Youth Community Spirit Award, for her service to her school and the Western Bay of Plenty district.

Mount Maunganui Sports Fishing Club Incorporated won the Supreme Award at the TrustPower Tauranga Community Awards, held on Monday 21 June at Mount Maunganui Golf Club.

48 sensational voluntary groups were celebrated on the night.

Morgene Mitchell of Aquinas College was awarded the TrustPower Youth Community Spirit Award for her years of dedicated voluntary contributions to St John Youth and Speedway.

TrustPower Oamaru Community Awards

The League of Victorian Imagineers took home the top award at the 2010 TrustPower Oamaru Community Awards, held at the Oamaru Opera House on Monday 14 June.

Forty-five other volunteer groups attended this year's TrustPower Oamaru Community Awards.

Caleb Dudley from Waitaki Boys High School was awarded the TrustPower Youth Community Spirit Award for his service for his school and the community.

TrustPower Ashburton District Community Awards

The McClimont's Green Development Committee were named the Supreme Winners of the TrustPower Ashburton District Community Awards, held in the Bardford Room at the Ashburton Trust Events Centre on Monday 17 May.

Competition was tough for this year's TrustPower Ashburton District Community Awards, with 40 brilliant voluntary groups nominated.

Nicholas Evans from Ashburton College took home the TrustPower Youth Community Spirit Award for his outstanding voluntary contributions to his school and the Ashburton community.

The Westport Volunteer Fire Brigade was named Supreme Winner at the TrustPower Buller Community Awards, held at Club Buller on Tuesday 24 November.

A record number of nominations were received for this year's TrustPower Buller Community Awards, with 37 nominations considered by the judges.

The TrustPower Youth Community Spirit Award was won by Sharon Haarsma from Buller High School for her service to school and the community.

The Link Pathways won the Supreme Award at the TrustPower Marlborough Community Awards, held on Monday 23 November at the Wisheart Room, Marlborough Centre.

There were 81 voluntary groups and organisations nominated for the TrustPower Marlborough Community Awards - the most ever received in the Awards' ten year history.

The TrustPower Youth Community Spirit Award was won by Lana Hawkins from Rai Valley Area School, for her service to school and the community.

Brooke Flett from Southland Girls High School also took home the TrustPower Youth Community Spirit Award for outstanding service to both her school and the communty.

TrustPower Westland District Community Awards

The TrustPower Westland District Community Awards were held in the O'Connor Room at the Beachfront Hotel in Hokitika on Wednesday 28 October.

Hokitika's annual beach sculpture event, Driftwood and Sand, took home the Supreme Award.  Another 11 awards were presented to deserving volunteer groups on the night.

Cassie Lee from Westland High School also took home the Westland region's TrustPower Youth Community Spirit Award for her outstanding contribution to her school and the community.

TrustPower Grey District Community Awards

The TrustPower Grey District Community Awards were announced and presented at a function in the Rimu Room at the Hotel Ashley in Greymouth on Tuesday 27 October.

CCS Disability Action West Coast were the popular recipients of the Supreme Award, coming out on top of the 31 other fantastic groups that were nominated.

Grey District's first ever winner of the TrustPower Youth Community Spirit Award was Ruby Tui from John Paul II High School.  The Award recognised her dedication to both the school and community.

The inaugural TrustPower Far North Community Awards were held on Monday 19 October at the Kaikohe Mid Motor Inn.

Aroha Island Charitable Trust took out the Supreme Award, with 64 voluntary groups being celebrated on the night.

Tyler Bellingham from Kaitaia College was also acknowledged for her outstanding service to her school and community by being named the TrustPower Far North Community Spirit Award winner.  Her chosen community group for half of her prize money was the Far North Palliative and Cancer Care.

TrustPower Clutha Community Awards

The Lake Waihola Waipori Wetland Society took out the Supreme Award at the 2009 TrustPower Clutha Community Awards, held at the Rosebank Lodge in Balclutha on Monday 21 September.

A record breaking 35 groups were nominated for this year's Awards.

TrustPower and the Clutha District Council also recognised the outstanding contribution Farryn Crawford has made to her school and the community by awarding her the 2009 TrustPower Youth Community Spirit Award.

TrustPower Queenstown Lakes District Community Awards

The Queenstown Mountainbike Club rode away with the Supreme Award at the 2009 TrustPower Queenstown Lakes District Community Awards, held at the Oakridge Resort in Wanaka on Monday 14 September.

Twenty-two ogranisations in total were nominated for this year's Awards.

TrustPower and the Queenstown Lakes District Council also recognised the outstanding contribution Alice Sheehy has made to her school and the community by awarding her the 2009 TrustPower Youth Community Spirit Award.

The Highbury Whanau Centre Junior Youth Touch were the proud winners of the Supreme Award at the 2009 TrustPower Palmerston North Community Awards, held in the Palmerston North Convention Centre on Wednesday 2 September.

Eighty one other outstanding voluntary groups were nominated for this year's Awards.

TrustPower and the Palmerston North City Council also acknolowdged the fantastic service Amy Tootell from St Peters College has given to both her school and the Palmerston North community.

TrustPower Timaru District Community Awards

 The McKinnons Creek Salmon Hatchery won the Supreme Award along with the Heritage and Environment Section at the 2009 TrustPower Timaru District Community Awards, held in the Council Chambers at the Timaru District Council on Monday 17 August.

Competition was tough, with 43 other groups nominated for the awards.

Makayla Hewlett from Mountainview High School was also awarded the TrustPower Youth Community Spirit Award for her outstanding service to both her school and the Timaru district.  Makayla chose the ALTAR Youth Programme from the Elim Christian Church to donate $250 of her prize money to.

TrustPower Nelson Tasman Community Awards

Friends of Motueka Hospital Trust have won the Supreme Award at the TrustPower Nelson Tasman Community Awards held at Seifrieds Vineyard and Function Centre on Monday 13 July.

Competition was tough, with 114 enthusiastic volunteer groups nominated for this year's awards.

TrustPower and the Nelson City and Tasman District Councils also recognised Missy Seymour from Motueka High School by awarding her the TrustPower Youth Community Spirit Award for her service to school and the Tasman Community. Missy chose the Breakfast Club Programme at her school to receive half of her prize money.

Te Awamutu Safer Community Charitable Trust won the Supreme Award at the Waipa District Community Awards held at Cambridge Town Hall on Monday 6 July.

There were 43 outstanding groups nominated this year for a Community Award.

TrustPower and the Waipa District Council also recognised Marcus Gibbs from Te Awamutu College by awarding him the TrustPower Youth Community Spirit Award for his service to school and the Waipa Community.  Marcus chose the Maungatautiri Ecological Island Trust as his community group to receive half of his prize money.

TrustPower Ashburton District Community Awards

The Hakatere Maori Committee won the Supreme Award at the 2009 TrustPower Ashburton District Community Awards held at the Ashburton Club and MSA on Monday 25 May.

The committee came out on top of 36 other brilliant groups that were nominated for the awards.

For the first time, TrustPower also recognised a year thirteen student in Ashburton who has given outstanding service to their school and community - Sam Lewthwaite from Mount Hutt College was named the winner of the TrustPower Youth Community Spirit Award.
