TrustPower Tauranga Community Awards
Mount Maunganui Sports Fishing Club Incorporated won the Supreme Award at the TrustPower Tauranga Community Awards, held on Monday 21 June at Mount Maunganui Golf Club.
48 sensational voluntary groups were celebrated on the night.
Morgene Mitchell of Aquinas College was awarded the TrustPower Youth Community Spirit Award for her years of dedicated voluntary contributions to St John Youth and Speedway.

The League of Victorian Imagineers took home the top award at the 2010 TrustPower Oamaru Community Awards, held at the Oamaru Opera House on Monday 14 June. Forty-five other volunteer groups attended this year's TrustPower Oamaru Community Awards. Caleb Dudley from Waitaki Boys High School was awarded the TrustPower Youth Community Spirit Award for his service for his school and the community. |

The McClimont's Green Development Committee were named the Supreme Winners of the TrustPower Ashburton District Community Awards, held in the Bardford Room at the Ashburton Trust Events Centre on Monday 17 May. Competition was tough for this year's TrustPower Ashburton District Community Awards, with 40 brilliant voluntary groups nominated. Nicholas Evans from Ashburton College took home the TrustPower Youth Community Spirit Award for his outstanding voluntary contributions to his school and the Ashburton community. |

TrustPower Buller Community Awards

The Westport Volunteer Fire Brigade was named Supreme Winner at the TrustPower Buller Community Awards, held at Club Buller on Tuesday 24 November. A record number of nominations were received for this year's TrustPower Buller Community Awards, with 37 nominations considered by the judges. The TrustPower Youth Community Spirit Award was won by Sharon Haarsma from Buller High School for her service to school and the community.

Competition was tough, with a record-breaking 58 voluntary groups nominated for this year's awards. The TrustPower Westland District Community Awards were held in the O'Connor Room at the Beachfront Hotel in Hokitika on Wednesday 28 October. Hokitika's annual beach sculpture event, Driftwood and Sand, took home the Supreme Award. Another 11 awards were presented to deserving volunteer groups on the night. Cassie Lee from Westland High School also took home the Westland region's TrustPower Youth Community Spirit Award for her outstanding contribution to her school and the community. |

The TrustPower Grey District Community Awards were announced and presented at a function in the Rimu Room at the Hotel Ashley in Greymouth on Tuesday 27 October. CCS Disability Action West Coast were the popular recipients of the Supreme Award, coming out on top of the 31 other fantastic groups that were nominated. Grey District's first ever winner of the TrustPower Youth Community Spirit Award was Ruby Tui from John Paul II High School. The Award recognised her dedication to both the school and community. |

The inaugural TrustPower Far North Community Awards were held on Monday 19 October at the Kaikohe Mid Motor Inn. Aroha Island Charitable Trust took out the Supreme Award, with 64 voluntary groups being celebrated on the night. Tyler Bellingham from Kaitaia College was also acknowledged for her outstanding service to her school and community by being named the TrustPower Far North Community Spirit Award winner. Her chosen community group for half of her prize money was the Far North Palliative and Cancer Care. |

Makayla chose the ALTAR Youth Programme from the Elim Christian Church to donate $250 of her prize money to. |

TrustPower and the Nelson City and Tasman District Councils also recognised Missy Seymour from Motueka High School by awarding her the TrustPower Youth Community Spirit Award for her service to school and the Tasman Community. Missy chose the Breakfast Club Programme at her school to receive half of her prize money. |

There were 43 outstanding groups nominated this year for a Community Award. TrustPower and the Waipa District Council also recognised Marcus Gibbs from Te Awamutu College by awarding him the TrustPower Youth Community Spirit Award for his service to school and the Waipa Community. Marcus chose the Maungatautiri Ecological Island Trust as his community group to receive half of his prize money. |
