Our Chief Executive Vince joined Trustpower in 2010. Originally from the UK where he worked for British Coal, Vince moved to New Zealand with his family in 1993. Vince was Production Manager at Huntly Power Station before roles as General Manager Generation and General Manger Retail with Genesis Energy. Prior to joining Trustpower Vince was appointed CEO for Hydro Tasmania in 2006.
Vince studied mining engineering at Trent Polytechnic in Nottingham, UK and has an MBA from Waikato University. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia and a member of the Institute of Directors.

Robert Farron BBS, CA, CFIPNZ, MInstD
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER AND COMPANY SECRETARY
Robert joined Trustpower in 2004. His career has included roles in professional services, corporate banking and energy development. He is a member of the NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants, a certified member of the Institute of Finance Professionals New Zealand Inc and a member of the Institute of Directors. Robert has a BBS majoring in Accounting and Finance from Massey University.
Chris O'Hara BAgrSc, Dip. Bus
GENERAL MANAGER COMMERCIAL OPERATIONS
Chris joined Trustpower in 1999. Previous roles at Trustpower have included Commercial Sales Manager, responsible for commercial and industrial sales and National Sales Manager, responsible for all sales and marketing activities. Chris’ career has included roles in forestry and farm management, animal nutrition consultancy, sales and marketing, corporate sector general management and owning and managing a manufacturing company. Chris has lived in many parts of New Zealand and spent five years in the USA. He has a degree in Agricultural Science from Massey University.
Deion Campbell BE (Elect, HONS), ME (MGMT), CPEng, MIPENZ, MInstD

In 2001, Deion joined Trustpower as North Island Asset Manager, before leading construction of hydro and wind generation projects as Major Project Manager. He became General Manager Generation in May 2011. Deion has a Masters in Electrical Engineering from Canterbury University and is a chartered professional engineer. In 1997, while working as an engineer at ECNZ, as part of his training, Deion spent nine months in England, Europe and Canada, before becoming an excitation and generations windings specialist. Deion has held roles in the Waikato River hydro schemes, insurance and an electrical networks control system company in Sydney. He is a member of the Institute of Professional Engineers of New Zealand and a member of the Institute of Directors.
Craig Neustroski BE (Elect), Dip. Bus
GENERAL MANAGER TRADING
Craig oversees key areas of energy purchasing, hedge management and reconciliation. He joined Trustpower in 1998, working as Commercial Sales Manager, then National Sales Manager. Previously, he was at Southpower and the Electricity Corporation of NZ. At Trustpower, Craig has developed a strong working understanding of price volatility drivers, and of constraints issues on the periphery of the grid, where Trustpower has a significant customer base. Craig has a Degree in Electrical Engineering from Canterbury and a Diploma in Business.
Peter Calderwood BE (HONS), ME, MIPENZ
GENERAL MANAGER STRATEGY AND GROWTH
Peter joined Trustpower’s predecessor, the Tauranga Electric Power Board in 1987 and has held senior management roles within Trustpower since 1988. In his present role he is responsible for company strategy development and regulatory affairs. Peter also is responsible for Trustpower’s growing Australian business. Peter is a registered engineer (Auckland University, First Class Honours) with a Master of Engineering. He’s a member of the Institute of Professional Engineers of New Zealand.
Karen Boyte BBS, MBS (HONS), MHRINZ, MInstD
GENERAL MANAGER PEOPLE AND CULTURE
Karen joined Trustpower in 2003. Her career spans roles in HR, training and development, employment relations, performance improvement and organisational development; in the forestry, timber processing, tertiary and public sectors. Karen has lectured in HR management, organisational development and marketing. She has a Master of Business Studies (Hons) in Human Resource Management, a Bachelor in Business Studies (HR), a Diploma in Management (NZIM), and a New Zealand Diploma in Business Studies. She is a professional member of the Human Resource Institute of New Zealand and a member of the Institute of Directors.
Simon Clarke BA/LLB MInstD
GENERAL MANAGER BUSINESS SOLUTIONS & TECHNOLOGY
Simon took on his current role in 2012, a year after joining Trustpower. He has held a number of senior executive roles, in the energy sector and was CEO of Christchurch smart metering service provider, Arc Innovations. Simon has degrees in law and politics from the University of Otago and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Programme at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the NZ Institute of Directors. In 2010, Simon won the Deloitte Energy Excellence Awards Young Energy Executive of the Year. He has a particular interest in renewable energy and emerging customer facing technologies.
